Chelsea + Jesse: The Thursday Club

This was a particularly special wedding for me since the bride is the daughter of a good photographer friend of mine for over 20 years. And many of our other photographer friends were there as well. Talk about pressure!! But I was so honored to be Chelsea and Jesse's photographer last week. Here are a few sneak peeks already. I haven't received my 2nd shooter's images yet so I'm sure there are plenty more that are fabulous and I will be add them next week. Oh, and did I tell you that I just LOVED her shoes!

Kathy + Chris: Coronado Beach Wedding Elopement

This was a second wedding for both Kathy and Chris. But what was so interesting about this couple is how they met! They are from Indiana but met in Las Vegas when Chris was attending a bachelor party. It was pretty much love at first sight and it didn't take long for them to know it was meant to be. The family had planned on taking their vacation here in San Diego, and at the last minute they decided to Tie The Knot while out here. I had the pleasure of working with Joann Lane of Ceremonies De Vie again for this beach wedding near the Hotel Del Coronado. Love has no limits and this couple is proof of that!

Megan + Zach: Ethereal Open Air Resort

I first met Megan when she and her mother came into my home studio to view the senior portraits I had taken of her younger brother, Spencer.  And it just so happened that she and her family actually lived in my neighborhood, so basically you could say we are almost neighbors!  Megan loved my work and back then she told her mother than she knew I was the person to photograph her wedding someday.  Now to me, that is the greatest compliment I could get.  And it goes to show that I truly love becoming a family's photographer.  So when I got the call that Megan and her boyfriend had set a date, I was over the moon thrilled!

Fast forward to this month, and here I am documenting one of the most special days in her life at an amazing venue.  Ethereal Open Air Resort is owned by the same company that runs the Twin Oaks Garden Estates and Green Gables Estate, which I was there working in July.  Let me tell you, Ethereal is beautiful!!  It is the same property as the California Botanic Gardens and the venue was filled with gorgeous flowers, lots of hummingbirds and butterflies, and decor that was rustic and charming.  If you know anyone looking for a wedding venue, please ask them to add this place to their list.  Plus, it's less than a mile off the I-15 at the most northern point of Escondido.

Here are a few of my favorite images from that day.  It was a pretty warm August day, but luckily the ceremony was late in the afternoon so temps dropped considerably for the reception and the couple even had ice cream available to cool everyone off.
